Yellow is my favourite colour; I’m drawn to anything in that lush golden tone! Plus, Spring and Easter is practically here and soon bursts of daffodils and Mini Eggs will be everywhere. It’s happy inducing and it’s no coincidence that everything that’s caught my eye recently has yellow hues and gets my excited for that Spring time feeling…like the rest of the British public, I am sooo over Winter. Here are my picks of the lot…

Autumn is coming

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]y magpie eyes have been picking out cosy, Autumn friendly pieces lately- and I’ve noticed that with the change in season, I have gravitated towards black clothes for the chillier weather! I just feel more pulled together in black during winter -when getting up in the morning is the worst feeling in the world and I just want something easy to wear. Which reminds me, have you seen Anna Wintour’s 73 Questions posted by Vogue yet? I love it! In the video, she says she dislikes all black outfits, gasp!

Moving on, here’s my recent Autumnal list:

1) I have dozens of band t shirts, why not add another? I’ve been singing Def Leppard songs in the shower since I was at school. That masterpiece that is Coyote Ugly would not have been the same without the Pour Some Sugar on Me song in it. That is why I must have this t-shirt!

2) Like a crazed fangirl, when I saw Lily Aldridge papped in an Aha Shake sweatshirt, I had to have it. Luckily-because I didnt make any Kings of Leon shows this year- their online merchandise started stocking it. It may or may not be the most favourite thing in my cupboard. Get yours here.

3) I can’t remember how I stumbled across Buy Me Brunch. I’m glad I did, because their Part Wolf t shirt is amazing. I always was Team Jacob (the wolves were SO much more fun than the Cullens) They also have a brilliant Party On Wayne top that I want, which is fitting, since most days I leave the house looking like a Wayne’s World reject.

4) Zara is possibly my number 1 favourite high street shop, dodgy sizing aside. I wanted to squeak with joy when I saw these joggers with a faux leather stripe across the leg. It jazzes up a pair of black joggers to make it acceptable to wear at work. WIN!

5) Last year, ASOS had a grey jumper with tattoo style Love and Hate patched on the elbows, and every time I wore it, it always got lots of compliments. This year, they’ve made a black version with swallows. It’s still available in Petite!

6) Let’s face it, I’ll never afford a pair of studded Chloe boots. I did find an similar style in red from of all places! This year, H&M have brought out a very similar style and I am all over it. These boots will look great with everything. Also, hello boot season!

7) I’ve always had a thing for silver and turquoise jewellery, and I’m in love with this necklace from Urban Outfitters. It’s a lovely pop of colour, especially when wearing all black.

8) Umm, how cute is this Wildfox tee? A fox is peeking out of the pocket. Peeking. YOU can peek at it on Shopbop.

9) I am one of those people that will count leopard print as a neutral. I’ve lived in my leopard print skater shoes all year, so naturally with the weather cooling down, I’m on the lookout for the perfect leopard print boot. Do they even exist? I dont know. But Topshop do a pretty good job of trying. Behold these lovely things!

For me, wearing white is a disaster. I’ll spill something on it or I’ll sit on a bench and smear pigeon poo on it (I speak from experience) If I wasn’t such a magnet for all the dust and dirt particles in the world, I would glide through summer wearing all white everything. Instead of the prints and graphics I’m usually drawn to, it’s the basics and neutrals that I’ve gravitated towards this year. These are my current favourites…with a print or two, of course…

 1)  All those years of watching The Breakfast Club and watching Bender’s fist pumping defiance at the end wearing his full length, grey trench coat must have subliminally planted into my head. I want a lightweight one that I could throw over anything. Zara have this clean, lightweight and unfussy coat that I must have. At once!

2) Ever since I saw Lovely By Lucy’s marble cases for her iThingies, I scouted some down to update my iPhone. My quilted cover was so 2013! Amazon have these cool beauties here

3) I’m always on the lookout for something that is smart enough for work but casual enough for me to still feel like myself- I spotted this cloud print dress by The Laden Showroom whilst browsing Asos. It’s sitting in my Saved Items for me to gaze at.

4) Ah. Now this odd little thing is from Zara. And it’s fugly. But…but..I kind of like it! It reminds me of a Stella McCartney sweater I saw on Matches once- lots of weird embroidery on a sweatshirt…I can go along with that.

5) I’m sort of falling in love with Nike AND with & Other Stories, so it’s no surprise I like these. The Pegasus trainer is sold out on the Nike website, but there’s a few sizes left here.

6) I’ve always had a soft spot for Stussy. I can’t decide if I want one of these basic tanks in red as well- it would be one of those things I would wear to death with everything, even to bed!

7) I’m sorry, I do like to throw a leopard print shoe into my lists. I just seem to always be on the hunt for the perfect one! Topshop Kooper slip ons are pretty much everything I was looking for!

8) Just Female is another brand I discovered on Asos. They’re from Copenhagen and have the Danish cool nailed down to a tee. This dress is everything I want for summer!

Seriously, is it Pay Day yet? I have a bit of free time coming up and I’ve got a shopping list for B&Q as long as my arm. I dream about Farrow & Ball paint samples. All this Housey stuff makes me want to weep, so some online window shopping was needed to remedy the sandpaper and paint rollers coming out of my ears. Right then *pulls up builder’s bum pants*  These are all my pretty clothes for Spring!

1)  I want to live in this embroidered dress from Asos. It’s like something Alice Temperley would wear to run away to Mexico.

2) Zoe Karssen. I know, again?  I can’t help it, her graphic tees and sweatshirts are clever and cool which makes me feel clever and cool…I mean Be You Tiful.

3)  I want a pair of white Saltwater Sandals this summer. I know, steady on! Stray from red, have I gone mad? The thing is, Modcloth have them in an array of colours and they’re much cheaper than the horribly overpriced stockists here.

4)  Good old H&M- it’d be so easy to throw on this dress and look like you’ve made an effort. Comes in black and turqoise too.

5)  My love for a tulle skirt shows no sign of slowing down! Topshop have made midi length jersey skirts with a layer of tulle. Practical, yet still very Carrie Bradshaw-esque! This blush one is only £18, which for Topshop, is unheard of.

6)  These are my beloved leopard print skater shoes from Kurt Geiger. Much cheaper than their Celine counterpart! AND Kurt Geiger have a 25% off discount until Monday- use KGMARCH25. You’re welcome.

7)  DOUGHNUT TEE ALERT! Sincerely Jules is one of my favorite bloggers and ShopBop stock a few things from her clothing range. This watercolour print doughnut tee is ridiculous- I want! It’s only £22.

8) I want to channel my inner Frenchie with this high waisted pink skirt from Asos. Again, you could just throw it on with a t shirt but still look pulled together. Think Pink!

9)  I’m a big fan of Topshop’s Jamie jeans. They’re just the right length for my short pins. They’ve released a ripped and distressed style which sings to the skater girl in me.

10)   Sephora finally added the UK to their shipping list- the only item I’m curious about is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in True Red– it looks so good on everyone.

And that’s it! Back to my paint spattered, sugar soap, DIY planning daydreams…

I love a pop of red. It brightens up any outfit! I’ve got countless red shoes, handbags and enough red lippies to fill a MAC store.  Now that Valentine’s Day has come and gone, I suppose I’ve gravitated towards the colour more than usual!

1)  I’ve been meaning to take more packed lunches to work with me but every tupperware I find is just so bo-ring! I fell in love with this lunch box because it looks like a mini Smeg fridge- retro sandwiches for all! It’s less than £10 and you’ll be the hippest cat in the office.

2) Everyone should have a handy tote bag- my pick is this sleeping fox one from Society 6 for £13. I dont think I could bear to use it, it’s too cute!

3)  Some people coo over fancy cars or jewels. Nope, not me! Unless you put me in a Kitchenaid shop. THIS BLENDER IS AMAZING. It’s also £165, eep. If you have it, send me a photo so I can live vicariously through you.

4)  Ahh, the prettiest tea set in all the land. You could pour your daily cuppa from a gold spout! It’s a hefty £68, thanks for nothing Anthro! Although, if you factor in cost per use…bargain surely?

5)  I have a few baking ideas floating around in this big old head of mine. This Spring, I’m going cookie crazy and this anchor shaped cutter is the first on my hit list!

6)  I’m in LOVE with the new Painterly Rose series from Cath Kidston at the moment. This rolling pin needs to come live with me to pretty up my kitchen. It’s £20 and Cath Kidston are also offering postage for £1 at the moment- quick, go!

7)  Can you tell I’ve got Spring on my mind? I can’t wait to get outside to have picnics and snoozes in the sun. These hedgehog mason jar mugs will keep the bugs out of your lemonade! It’s £15 to bring out your inner hipster.

8)  I’m pretty sure that if I had a cookie jar as cool as this, I would never touch a biscuity treat again. Honestly. Hah.

9)  The Paris Sketchbook by Jason Brooks is the prettiest book that will ever grace your hands. Jason’s book guides you through Paris through his sketches, collections of old postcards, and collages of this gorgeous city. It’s so chic and I dare you to not crave a coffee and a croissant in Le Marais afterwards…c’est tres jolie!
