My Favourite Homeware Shops

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] love a good homeware browse. Although I’m embracing a more organised and clutter free zone at home, I can’t help but keep an eye on my favourite homeware haunts for that special something to add to our home. Even though my tastes have changed over the years, I still find something I like from these stores which is why they have become my Go-To’s whenever I feel the need to update my living space.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”15158″ img_size=”500×500″ alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1484839361616{background-image: url( !important;border-radius: 2px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1516900466482{padding-top: 100px !important;padding-right: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 120px !important;padding-left: 40px !important;background-color: #f8f3f0 !important;}”]

With their dark aesthetic and quirky decor pieces, I’ve been a massive fan of Rockett St George for years. You’ll find everything from Abigail Ahern paint to concrete skulls to Scandinavian rugs here. Whether you lean towards more classic pieces or something kooky, you’ll find something here that you’ll want to scoop up immediately.

So, UO isn’t the first place most people think of when it comes to homeware, but I always find a few gems from here; from cushions to photo frames and those adorable Crosley record players. I have my eye on a couple of terrariums to have on display. As well as the square gold frames for my grid gallery, I also bought our large living room rug from here too.

Oh Anthro, you are a classic. Their Volcano candle is my absolute favourite and I’m always lusting after something from the kitchenware department (like this jug on the left) I recently bought some little drawer knobs to customise an old dresser. Their pillows and bedding are pricey, but worth it because they are just so unique and pretty (and soft) There’s a Sales section all year round so there’s always a steal to find somewhere.

I have a love/hate relationship with West Elm. I love their stuff but I hate their shipping costs! I usually browse online and then set aside a time and date to visit the store in person. I’m currently coveting this marble trinket plate (pictured) and a set of mini Boxwood planters. Their furniture has a midcentury look and feel but I tend to stick to the small things; bowls and decor!

And lastly, H&M Home. I really rate their homeware range and it sits within the same level of quality and design as their clothes. As well as decorative accessories, you can kit yourself out with curtains, bedsheets, plates, tea towels, or even rugs and you won’t bankrupt yourself in doing so. It’s contemporary, modern and each season features a new look- however, this palm print cushion has been restocked again (£8.99 each) since it came out last summer.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There we are, my top 5! I also really like the Graham and Green store near Bayswater and the Sunbury Antiques Market for special bits and bobs. I have more fun shopping for my home than my wardrobe that’s for sure (you can never have too many candles!) Do you have any favourites to recommend?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

  1. My sister always finds really nice bits in Sainsburys and I always like nosing through george. at Asda. Ooh, and H&M home deliveries have become SO much better than it used to be, making it much more tempting to shop online!
