[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s that time of year where in my job, time starts to slip away even faster than usual. People want to blow off some steam from the year. Halloween gets everyone in the party mood and even though no one talks about it, Christmas is starting to creep into your mind. I’m pretty sure I’ve contacted every venue in the Shoreditch radius- I love getting festive and themey- but it’s also meant I disappeared online whilst I delved into lists. So, hi! What did I miss?[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”13997″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On a Life Lately note, after a bit of foot stomping, our S L O W build has been steadily progressing again. Honestly, slow. I have a friend who has built almost an entire house in the same time. The tiling is almost complete, the new boiler is in, and the lights do this turning off and on thing at the flick of a switch. So that’s good. There’s still a fair bit to do but we’ll see if it gets completed this month. “We’ll See” is my new go to response for everything, I can see why my mum was fond of it when I was little ;)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14000″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What else?

I have been promising myself a trip to Dublin for ages, so that’s on the cards once things calm down a little bit.

I started writing a story. Not a book, that sounds far too deep, but a story, just for fun.

Rediscovering my Kings of Leon fandom all over again because the new album is out tomorrow. I was head first down an enormous bag of winter clothes looking for my A Ha Shake sweatshirt from our storage unit last weekend. I had no luck finding it but I did take home an armful of loved and forgotten knits, so still winning!

Some people have asked what the song playing on my Instagram Stories was the other day. It is this one, and it is all sorts of dreamy synthy love.

After much umming and ahhing, I got my Kyshadow Bronze pallet from Kylie Cosmetics yesterday and it’s brilliant. The eyeshadows are really pigmented and the shades are gorgeous- I’ve not seen anything like Citrine in the shops before.

Home furnishings. Now that the new space is starting to look like an actual room, it’s been exciting to browse through endless homeware websites and catalogues. (Rockett St George is my current fav)

Next week, there’s a few little things in the pipeline, a little bit more Halloweeny and hopefully a nice distraction away from the tunnel vision that is work and home builds![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

  1. I know all about S L O O O O W builds – my new place has been nearly 5 years in the making that I’ve completely forgotten it exists, and I’ve only recently been confronted with the (seemingly) sudden prospect of having to pack up and move! Hopefully your renovations will catch up with you just as suddenly like a ‘surprise Christmas’ (which is more likely given that we’ve been drip-fed, or rather force-fed yuletide cheer since the Christmas decor started popping up in shops since August)…x
