Full on Floral | Chi Chi London

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] kicked off my bank holiday weekend a day early, heading south for a friend’s wedding. I spent ages looking for a dress- you know when you have something in mind and no other dress, no matter how pretty, seems to be the right one? I wanted a dress that was fun but comfortable, floral and colourful but still wedding guest appropriate.

Bored of the usual places to search for a nice occasion dress, I stumbled upon the floral Amber dress from Chi Chi London. It had a playful silhouette and a flattering full skirt that didn’t scream kitschy retro…plus it was wallet friendly- first time purchasers get 10% off the website. Also, an added bonus to a full skirt style dress- you don’t have to worry about overeating at the wedding breakfast!

Our hotel for the night was right next door to the pretty grounds of Coombe Wood. After a late night celebrating and toasting the newly weds, we ate a full breakfast at the cafe on site and took a walk around the woods. Pink flowers were in bloom everywhere, and even though Croydon isn’t exactly the countryside, it did feel like I was a million miles away from London.

I wish all Bank Holidays, well, every weekend really, started this way- with a pretty dress and sunshine.

What did you guys get up to?
