Becky with the good hair & a catchup

South Audley Street MayfairIt’s Monday! How does that make you feel? Bad? I’m sorry, may your coffee be strong. Good? Awesome, may your coffee be strong. For once I’m actually glad it’s Monday because it’s a clean break away from the gnarly ogre that was last week. Can we talk about something…

BECKY.WITH.THE.GOOD.HAIR.

Like millions of others, I watched Beyonce’s visual album, Lemonade, over the weekend…preeeetty much with my mouth hanging open the whole time. Partly because it was so stunning and partly because it was so heartbreaking. Controversy aside, you should just watch it- it’s shot beautifully.

Jay Z- I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed.

(Isn’t that the worst thing anyone can say to you?)

Right. Pop culture hats off- let’s have a little show and tell.

I spent a very sunny Sunday last week scouting around Mayfair with my sister. A work thing for her (because, photographer) and also because she’s my big sister, it’s ingrained in me to do anything she tells me to.

We ventured around the Mayfair Library and the pretty Mount Street Gardens next door to it. It’s a lovely little spot- red phone boxes, drinking fountains, roaming ducks- not exactly the first thing you conjure up when it comes to Mayfair.

Building work to our flat starts in just over a week. Someone hold me (and send me a spare dust pan and brush)

I’ve also been mentally packing for my quick trip to New York in May…which mostly entails dancing in front of my wardrobe to Taylor Swift’s ‘Welcome to New York’…

Right! Let’s start this week on a good foot.

How was your weekend?
