[dropcap]I[/dropcap] can’t believe there’s only this working week and then I’m off to Leeds on Saturday for the Blogger’s Blog Awards! Outfits have been sorted, and train tickets purchased. I’m so looking forward to it- although I hope the weather holds because there is no room in my handbag for an extra brolly or scarf. This weekend was spent mostly not brushing my hair or wearing matching clothes- when I can hide away and do my best Gollum impression. Many episodes of The U.S Office were streamed, I made dodgy banana scones (more like rocks) and my could-be-high-could-be-low point of Saturday was letting Pepper drink from my bath. As I was sitting in it. After allowing myself that one day of slovenly behaviour, I had a good Sunday- there was a roast chicken dinner, apple crumble, a walk in the sunshine in just a t shirt, and trying but failing to stay up to catch a glimpse of the Blood Moon.
I also spent most of the weekend in an internet tunnel as I’ve become obsessed with finding a web designer to create a new look for this blog. I love my blog, but having to use themes has always felt so limiting and there’s only so much customising you can do. Unfortunately, even with payment schemes, the few designers I’ve found are still well out of my budget range. So holler if you have any recommendations!
Speaking of customisations, you may notice a heart icon at the bottom of this post- it’s a Like button! If you like this post, or any for that matter, just press it- no comments necessary if you really don’t want to. Plus I thought it was really cute.
-Colorfy. So there was a period when everyone was really into colouring books, but I came across a free app called Colorfy that is basically a colouring book on your phone. You have pages of drawings and pictures, a colour pallet and you just dot away…I’ve become a little addicted to it, colouring in a Van Gogh painting at bedtime or my favourite- just lots of cats.
-New business cards! I’ve got the sweetest new cards from Moo. They’re mini and show off my lovely new header perfectly. Could I be any more ready for #BloggersBlogAwards? (watch me forget them…) Get 15% off your Moo order with code ZQW3QW
– Slowly saying goodbye to the sunshine when I get home in the evenings. Walking up these tube steps and heading home when it’s still daylight is just so nice. I don’t mind the cold of Winter but it’s the early darkness that gets me. Boo.
-Evenings spent down the Southbank. Always a good walk, always great people watching. And I’ve not stopped humming Here Comes the Hot Stepper after spying this chilli painted on the steps by Wahaca…
– Whitecross Street Market- making lunch times a happy time. The only problem is I can never decide between a Bimbimbap Roll, Falafel wrap, or Brazilian barbecue. Lunch time decisions, it’s a serious thing.
Speaking of lunch- merry munching!
