[dropcap]I [/dropcap]once worked with someone who said they hated Tuesdays more than Mondays. And, I’m inclined to agree with her on that one! It’s not even the middle of the week and it can feel like Monday’s useless twin sibling. Coupled with the drizzly rainy days we’ve been having, I have indulged in a few treats and nice things to make myself feel better about the change in season and the fact that ugh, it’s only Tuesday.
I got home last night, after an infuriating trip on the tube, and made this chicken soup for dinner – warm and comforting, this smelled delicious as it bubbled away (although I added some diced potato and a teensy splash of leftover cream I had in the fridge)
Binge watching Season 4 of New Girl- everyone loves Zooey Deschanel but for me, it’s Max Greenfield who steals the show and makes me laugh until I cry.
My pal Rosie from A Little Lusciousness has partnered up with Hardeep Singh Kohli for a supperclub next week (on the 30th) at Storeys (at the top of the old BBC car park) The menu sounds delicious and the ticket fee goes towards raising money for refugee crisis charities. Ginger Spice tickets can be found here.
I’m looking forward to next weekend’s day trip to Leeds for the Blogger’s Blog Awards! As the difference in followers between me and my competitor’s was pretty big (like, several thousand in difference!) I don’t expect to win (although massive massive THANK YOU if you did vote for me!) but I’m really excited to meet some new faces and discover a new city.
Staying up way past my bed time so I could finish putting our wedding photo book together online last night. I can’t wait for it to print and arrive next week!
Looking forward to another Leon Bridges gig next week too- at the bigger venue of Shepherd’s Bush Empire! Our first wedding dance was to Coming Home so I have all the happy feels for this.
Podcast news. I’m not one to usually listen to podcasts (easily distracted) but this fictional story about a place called Limetown, where all the residents have suddenly disappeared, is X Files style spooky and highly addictive. There are seven episodes in total- you can catch the first two here.
Anthropologie stocked their seasonal candles at long last. All the Pumpkin Souffle are mine.
Sure, it’s not Halloween yet, but can we start talking about Christmas? Please?
And to round us out, a picture of Pepper. Rolling around on Robin. For no good reason other than because he can, and will.
