a day of Press Days

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] have really enjoyed the recent influx of Press Days lately, as someone who finds it hard to slog through Winter (SAD anyone?) a Spring Summer preview is a shiny beacon of colour and sunlight! I had an invite to take a look at the Spring Summer line for Land’s End, who, along with several other brands, were showcasing at The Westbury Hotel in Mayfair.

If you haven’t heard of Land’s End before, I would describe them as a cross between the Gap and Boden. They are an American brand and as their name suggests, there is a hint of nautical heritage in their style. The stand out pieces to me were actually their accessories; especially their bags. In fact, I had to take a closer look to check they weren’t a new style from Longchamp! There was a pair of floral navy ballet pumps that I took a liking to as well. I spent the rest of the rainy afternoon having a look at the other brands that were on show as well;

These soft knits from Madeleine Thompson– I couldn’t make up my mind which I liked more, the heart print or the zebra print top?! But my absolutely favourite that I came across were these beauties…

By Emmy London, they were the palest blush colour, with gorgeous silver detailing embroidered all over. If this shoe had a name it would be Daisy Buchanan (it’s actually called the Francesca) They look like something from The Great Gatsby, and as soon as I saw them, I wanted them to wear for my wedding. I would not be surprised if you could see the heart emojis in place of my eyeballs.

Then it was back to reality, outside, with my brolly, battling the rain and busy streets, ah well. See you later dream shoes.
