boohoo SS15 press day

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he temperature outside is dropping and there are whispers of it being a Super Winter this year, but I have been living in a Spring Summer daydream this past week. On Thursday, I went to preview Boohoo’s Spring Summer ’15 collection; it was bright, colourful, and covered several trends, so there is something for everyone. After a quick lunch, Sarah, her sister Jules (aka Twin Geeks)  and I went to have a browse through the rails, helped along with some pretty hefty mojito ice lollies.

Selfies aside, my favourite pieces were on the rails labelled Poolside and Courtside. Me, longing for the summer already? Never. I’m still thinking about this colourful stripy shirt dress. The Poolside collection had some lovely blue and white prints- I especially liked the joggers paired with the white cutout blouse. Another dress that stood out for me was this oriental floral print shift dress, with cranes mid flight all over it. I’m of the ‘stick a bird on it’ class, for sure.

I was glad to see silver and turquoise accessories- possibly my favourite hardware to wear- and I tried on these chunky bracelets. Sadly, I did not feel bronzed enough to pull it off. Another reason for the summer to return!

Unique Freak Tattoos were also at the preview, with a huge choice of metallic temporary tattoos. I channeled my inner Kat Von D and got silver stars on my face;

…and then realised that they last 3 days and I had a meeting the next day! (don’t worry, nothing some exfoliator couldn’t handle)

Having been teased with floaty, colourful clothes and cocktails, it was time to say goodbye and get back to reality in the cold, drizzly rain. Roll on Spring/Summer!
