Joules SS15 Press day

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t might be scarf and coat weather now, but it was pure Spring time at the Joules SS15 press preview this afternoon. Bright pops of colour, florals, Breton stripes and Parisian themes were dotted throughout the collection; and let’s face it, it wouldn’t be Britain without an array of wellies and rain coats too!

Amidst the pops of pink and floral print, my favourite stand out pieces were the yellow raincoat with a blue and white striped lining- a similar style sold out at Jack Wills last year-and this illustrated watercolour print dress. The sketches on the dress remind me of something drawn by Quentin Blake, and I love it. My eagle eye also spotted this hot pink satchel bag, that also came in yellow, as well as these candy coloured statement necklaces.

I was also coveting this jumper with pink baubles embroidered all over, as well all of the colourful stripes seen on t shirts and bags.

The accessories for next year also continue the francophile theme- I fell in love with this scarf too. The children’s wear was especially darling, in fact, I can’t wait to see my nieces and nephews in a few of their prints come Spring. I feel like Joules has really stepped up their game recently- their prints are charming, they retain that nostalgic sense of British Heritage, but have updated it. The vibrant colours are very Kate Spade; this is not a bad thing. March on Spring time!
