[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n 2003, when I was a second year student at uni, probably on a Tuesday night (they were the nights to go out on!) I went to the student union with my friends as usual. Walking in through those double doors and across the sticky beer stained floor, I spotted a face across the room- that face belonged to Robin. Back then I was rocking fire engine red hair and wristbands (all the rage in the noughties) Lucky for me, I had just moved into a new flat with lots of lovely people and even luckier- they were friends with Robin who often came round. Even luckier for me than that, was that he lived in a house across the street from my best friends. The poor boy had no chance of getting away from me. The rest is history!
On Sunday, a couple of days after his sister’s wedding blessing here in Koh Samui, I thought it’d be a good idea to lie in and have breakfast delivered to our room. Unknown to me, he was planning to do this anyway! Our breakfast came and we arranged it out on our balcony. I was munching away on my fruit salad and toast, and he popped a little black box in front of me….
Best breakfast I’ve ever had.
