Easter snapshots

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his Easter bank holiday was all about pottering about, catching up on sleep, and not watching the clock. Oh, and I now understand a man’s point of view of shopping- I feel for you guys, I do.

An afternoon spent in the worst place possible over a bank holiday- Oxford Street. I rarely go into Nike Town- strictly Boy Territory- but I killed some time in the skateboard area (when was that a thing?!) There were battered skate shoes on the wall, teenage me would have loved it. We had a quick lunch at Busaba Eathai- the thai calamari is my favourite! I had a hankering for sriracha sauce over everything. Then I spent the next 20 minutes waiting outside the Fitting room in Uniqlo with other bored looking girlfriends burping up the aftermath. On Saturday I baked lazy brownies (from a box) and by this morning they were all gone- this little stripy devil snuck into the kitchen to sneak bites of Leo’s food. Stripy Devil has a love/hate relationship with Leo…I think it’s love although after 5 years, I’m still not sure if it’s a boy or a girl.
It’s back to work tomorrow- is it weird that I’m already looking forward to that first cup of coffee?

What did you get up to over the bank holiday?

  1. Eurgh Oxford Street, I know what you mean … it’s just so so busy and the shops are all to spread out, you can’t just dash from one to another. As soon as Westfield Stratford opened and I was like “bye bye Oxford St”, I don’t think I’ve been back since, I leave it for the tourists!
