Del Duque Beach, Tenerife

[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ur last afternoon in Tenerife was spent scrambling up and down the clifftops at Del Duque beach surrounding Senor Pooch’s mansion. I don’t know who Senor Pooch is, but he’s a real thing apparently. There’s nothing stopping anyone from walking at the bottom of the rock cliff his house perches on.

We were the only people walking along the trail- except for our crabby friend. I thought I would get a closer look but only got splashed in the face by a fierce wave that came out of nowhere. Of course,  it would have to happen to me!

The end of the trail leads down to the beach- mostly full of families. If you walk along here for about half an hour you reach La Caleta- less touristy, very picturesque and full of little tapas restaurants that overlook the sea. Definitely one of my favourite days out!
